Azeotropy, an eminent technical fest for all the chemical engineers all over India was organized on 14th - 15th march, 2015 in IIT BOMBAY. With innovative competitions and informative workshops, the fest served as a great platform for young minds. The whole fest was well coordinated and the venues were well navigated.

The University School of Chemical Technology (USCT) with a contingent of 19 students participated in 3 events - Chem-e-Car, Chem-e-Timer, and Swasthya. Total 7 teams were selected in the preliminary round of abstract screening. Around 80 % of the 19 participants were from second year, which is a remarkable statistic to be proud of.

The students showed great composure throughout their events. The Chem-e-Car was on day one and two teams were the flag bearer of our college. Both the teams did exceptionally well, and finished top 8. The event was followed by Swasthya, which also had two USCT teams .The event was slightly on the tougher side as most of the participants were from the 4th year. Our teams, albeit, small in stature fought fearlessly and did their level best. Seeing their members perform well at day one, the yet to perform students were charged up and worked the whole night hard. The effort was in fact very sweet as the following day USCT bagged two prizes, 2nd prize and 1st prize under best timer and best design catagories respectively in the Chem-e-Timer event.

The whole bunch of students were happy and most importantly it was the USCT storm that had struck IIT BOMBAY. The students were highly inspired from the two day fest, the workshops and competitions served as great learning experience to the debutants , encouraged many more students to take part in such fests and make USCT proud at national level.
